ABOUT RALEIGH
Established in 1792, Raleigh is the capital city of North
Carolina and the county seat of Wake County. Centrally located in NC,
Raleigh sports a comfortable year round climate with a Mean Annual
temperature of 59.8 F. Raleigh offers a great location, an array of diverse
activities and a variety of resources.
There is something for everyone in Raleigh: 20 golf
courses, the BTI Center for the Performing Arts, the North Carolina
Symphony, the RBC Center, numerous area lakes and recreation opportunities,
and some of the best sports teams in the nation including the Carolina
Hurricanes, NCSU Wolfpack, Duke Blue Devils, and UNC Tarheels.
Old Raleigh ("inside the beltline") is home to the City
Market, Fayetteville Street Mall, North Carolina Museum of History, North
Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, North Carolina State Capitol, Peace
College, Raleigh City Museum, Raleigh Convention and Conference Center, Shaw
University, and the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. The neighborhoods in
Old Raleigh include: Boylan Heights, Country Club Hills, Five Points,
Glenwood, Brooklyn, Hayes Barton, The Cotton Mill, Moore Square, and
Oakwood.
East Raleigh is along Capital Boulevard near the I-440 beltline to New Hope
Road.
West Raleigh is near Hillsborough Street and Western Boulevard. It is home
to the North Carolina State University campus, Pullen Park, and Cameron
Village. Also in West Raleigh are Avent Ferry Road, Blue Ridge Road, Lake
Johnson, Raleigh Little Theatre, Theatre in the Park, St. Mary's School, and
Municipal Rose Garden.
North Raleigh ("outside the beltline") is a subdivision
that has several neighborhoods, a rural area known for being outside city
limits but is becoming surrounded by increased growth of newer housing
projects and businesses. Recently, the area that is considered true North
Raleigh begins near Six Forks Road and is bounded by Capital Boulevard (U.S.
1) to the east and Falls Lake to the north. North Raleigh is the location of
most of Raleigh's shopping malls: Crabtree Valley Mall, Triangle Town

ABOUT CARY
Cary is located in the heart of North Carolina's Triangle.
Next to Research Triangle Park, it is minutes away from the Raleigh-Durham
International Airport and Raleigh, the state capitol of North Carolina.
Cary's hometown feeling, educational, cultural (such as the Cary Heritage
Museum), and recreational offerings make it a wonderful place to raise
children. School-age children comprise about 23% of the Cary population.
Cary is a very quiet and peaceful community with a very low crime rate. In
2004 the town of Cary was declared the ninth safest of 354 large cities in
the nation. Cary was listed in Money Magazine as one of the best places to
live in the Eastern United States in 2003 and #5 place to live in the United
States in 2006.
ABOUT WAKE FOREST
Located in northern Wake County, Wake Forest is a
progressive community of over 20,000 residents with a vibrant downtown that
boasts more than 100 businesses, including several outstanding restaurants
and specialty shops. Mindful of its rich heritage, the downtown is also an
officially registered historic district. Representative of its academic
history, the town is the home of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
and the Southeastern College at Wake Forest.
Incorporated in 1909, the town continues its emergence as a major player in
the phenomenal growth and activity witnessed throughout the Triangle. Wake
Forest maintains its small town character, however, by captivating newcomers
and long-time residents alike with its incomparable warmth and charm.
