Format > Paragraph
Alignment list – click Center > OK
Click anywhere on the page

File > Save As
My Documents icon on vertical Places bar
(Next to Page Title field) override default, click on Change button
At Set Page Title, NM National Guard Celebration – Home Page, click OK
In File Name box, change to Homepage
    FrontPage manages & repairs
Creating a New Web
File > Close
File > New > Web (options appear)
Select One Page Web > Tab
In Specify the location of the new Web box: > c:\My Documents\My Webs\Millennium > OK.  A new Web called Millennium is created.

Bypass Folder, choose Navigation icon on Views Bar
You can view & manage your Web in several ways.  Updates are simplified
(Next, we will create a structure for the four other pages we will have)

New > Page
Shortcut – CTRL + N (3 times)
TAB to move to next page
At New Page 1 > type Background > TAB
At New Page 2 > type Destinations > TAB

TAB > New Page 3 > Photo Album
TAB > New Page 4 > Links
Press enter to finish
You can now quickly open pages in Page View by double-clicking the pages in Navigation view
We will now replace the empty home page by importing the home page you created

In Navigation View (NV), double-click Home Page
On toolbar, click Folder List to hide list
Insert menu > File
In Select File box > My Documents
Choose homepage > Open
You can choose Save on File menu or toolbar > OK for embedded files
Note: FP reserves .htm, html and default for home page

Click Files of type > Text Files (*.txt)
Click year2000 >
Convert Text (to control format)
Choose Normal paragraphs with line breaks > OK
Choose Save

Destinations Page
On Toolbar, click Folder List button
Double-click destinations.htm
Click Folder List
Insert > File
Files of type > Rich Text Format (*.rtf)

Double click the file events
  (FrontPage automatically chooses the proper conversion method since this file has formatting.)

Bulleted List – Destinations Page
Find the words “Times Square in New York.”  Use the scroll bar to view the entire list of destinations
Drag across the destinations (Shift > to Greece and release).  Click on Bullets
Note: You can also create number lists
Positioning pictures with text
Scroll down to “France and England”
Click just to left of F in “France”
Press Home > click the Insert Picture from File
Select File Button in Picture Dialogue box
Click Paris > OK
Format > Position > Wrapping style > Right > OK > Save

From Folder icon in Views bar
File > Import
In the Add File to Import List dialog box, > Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Tutorial
Files of type > Gif and JPEG (*.gif, *jpg)
Add File > firewks1 > CTRL > click
Release CTRL > Open

Click Page icon on the Views bar
Locate the sentence “England is planning to reconstruct…”
Click just to left of E in “England”
Click Insert Picture From File button on toolbar > london.gif > OK > Align Left (on toolbar)

Scroll down to “World-famous Times Square…” click just to left of W in “World-famous,” > Insert Picture from File button on toolbar
Select sanfran.gif > OK > Align Right
