Raleigh, North Carolina, March 25, 2009 -- The economic slowdown has hit the legal profession, with thousands of layoffs at the nation's biggest firms, but it isn't all doom and gloom for companies that target law firms, says the CEO of a Raleigh, N.C.-based marketing and Web consulting firm.

"I think it is also important to note that our clients, who mostly concentrate in personal injury and criminal defense work, have not seen any decline in work."

Tincher was quoted in a March 16 National Law Journal article that focused on the slowdown in the legal industry. The article noted that a trickle-down effect was being felt by vendors that service the legal profession.

Consultwebs.com was singled out as one of a handful of companies that seems to be bucking the trend. Tincher's company, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, has added two employees this year and opened a second office to handle growing demand.

Tincher's company targets small and midsize law firms, not the large firms that have been taking big financial hits in recent months.

That approach has yielded a greater return on law firms' advertising dollars than traditional Yellow Book advertising, Tincher says.
