How will Facebook’s upgrade to the new “Timeline” design affect your law firm’s marketing campaign? The “Timeline” has replaced the “Wall”; while people who ‘Like’ your page can still write posts, share pictures and videos, and read and comment on your status updates, posts can also now be highlighted for emphasis. In addition, the “Timeline” keeps track of milestones and arranges them by date, allowing users to jump to a year or a month at will. Other changes include a new layout that makes your actual business page look and feel more like a functional website, with a fully customizable “Cover Photo” that can help you reinforce your brand. All additional content, previously located beneath the profile photo has been moved to a row just beneath the Cover Photo. Links to the pages are now large thumbnails which can be branded with customizable photos.
