Base Years
A wage earner’s base years for computing Social Security
benefits are the years after 1950 up to the year of
entitlement. For a survivor's claim, the base years include
the year of the worker's death.
Benefits
Retirement, Disability, Dependents, Survivors and
Medicare are the five (5) categories within the Social
Security system that you may receive benefits under.
Beneficiary
Anyone who receives Social Security benefits.
