Gerontology: The study of older people and
the aging process.
Grievance: A complaint concerning the way
a person's Medicare health plan is giving care, including complaints regarding
the cleanliness of a nursing home and staff behavior. Grievances are not used to
complain about medical treatment decisions or services that are not covered by
Medicare.
Gross Negligence: Intentional failure to
use a reasonable duty of care that results in negative consequences experienced
by another person.
