The lawyers of New York based law firm Belluck & Fox LLP are leaders in the
complex fields of Pharmaceutical Negligence and Product Liability, and the firm
has created a Web site about Vioxx (Vioxx-Lawyers.US), the popular
anti-arthritis drug recently pulled from the worldwide marketplace amid safety
concerns.
More than 1 million Americans were taking Vioxx on September
30, 2004, when it was voluntarily removed from the marketplace by Merck & Co.
The drug has been cited for doubling the risk of cardiac disease in patients who
took the drug for 18 months or longer. The drug has also been linked to serious
kidney and liver problems, allergic reactions and meningitis.
Partners Joseph W. Belluck and Jordan Fox are two of the
nation’s most experienced litigators. Belluck previously served as counsel to
the New York State Attorney General, representing the State of New York in its
litigation against the tobacco industry.
In addition to current news about Vioxx, the
site also has a page
of frequently asked questions, links to other Vioxx specialty sites, and an
offer for a free case evaluation. If the partners decide to litigate a client’s
Vioxx claim, they never charge a fee of more than one-third.
Consultwebs.com developed Web marketing strategies for Belluck
& Fox as well as designing Web sites, providing photos and assisting with Web
content. Belluck & Fox's Web approach and success was featured in a
Law Office Computing
August/September 2003 special marketing issue.
