We are a full-service jewelry store offering repairs, cleaning, appraisals, and internet assist when purchasing on line. We also have resources and expertise to craft custom creations for our customers, offering one-of-a-kind designs and redesigns of your pieces or stones. We Sell your fine & Estate jewelry on consignment- Your highest return!

How does consignment work?

• We ask that you call and set up an appointment. Bring your fine jewelry with you and any paperwork you have readily available. Allow approximately 20 minutes for the initial consult (more time if you have many items).
• We will evaluate each piece of jewelry using industry guides to determine the value-treating you as a dealer.
• We will then determine the amount of dollars we can guarantee. Assuming the numbers are acceptable, a receipt is created and signed.

What's my percentage?

• We do not work on a percentage basis. That's why we give you a guaranteed dollar amount to expect when your item is sold.

How long does it usually take?

• After cleaning and polishing, a stock number is assigned. Checks are written for sold merchandise on the 20th of the month
• It is very difficult to predict when your piece will sell. Keep in mind that the uniqueness of the jewelry, price range, and time of the year are all factors to consider. Have patience...we do sell jewelry every day!

Do we need a current appraisal?

• No, the new owners will need an appraisal for insurance purposes, which we will provide at the time of purchase.
• We do have a GIA appraiser on staff to verify the quality of the jewelry we sell.

• Most repairs can be done within a short turn-around time (10-12 days).
• For a premium, a 2-3 day Express Service is offered.
• Our repairs range from ring sizing (up or down), to resetting stones, restorations of vintage rings, and soldering bracelets or chains.
• Our repair customers have been delighted not only with the quick turn-around, but most importantly with the high quality of work.
• We specialize in repairing and caring for your heirlooms.

We have delighted many customers with our custom design work. To date, many of the jobs have utilized stones from a previous piece set in a brand new design. We have the capability to craft from scratch (mold and cast) your own one of a kind piece of jewelry.

Custom design doesn't have to cost a fortune or take forever! With the technology of CAD design Joint venture can create you unique piece of jewelry or copy from a family heirloom. It takes about 3 weeks and $175.00 to create a rendering (digital picture with multiple views) of your creation.

Upon approval and 50% deposit, the piece will be cast and polished to perfection. Our custom work can be done in platinum, gold and sterling silver. Delivery happens in approximately another 3 weeks. Jewelry Appraisal

Did you know that having your jewelry appraised will provide you with insurance against loss from theft and robberies, unaccounted disappearances, travel accidents, hotel theft and damage to stones and mountings?

Joint Venture can provide you with thorough evaluations along with consultations and advice. In addition to insurance replacement, Joint Venture can also evaluate your jewelry for fair market value of antique pieces by researching market comparisons, division of property for divorce, estate settlements for tax liability and valuation for equitable division of property. Our computer-generated software is winning popularity with both our customers and insurance companies.

Each piece is valued by specific requirements for jewelry insurance. Most of our appraisals are finished within 24-48 hours, but if you are concerned about leaving your jewelry, we do offer appraisals while-you-wait on some pieces. We test and measure the items while-you-wait and return the appraisal documents to you in 2-3 days.

Our appraisal fee is $75.00 per hour, which is also our minimum charge. It is to your advantage to bring in multiple pieces and any available paperwork describing the properties and value. If you would like a while you wait appraisal the cost starts at $100 per hour.
